Iron Man - The Extended Version

Official Iron Man Rules

Expanded Iron Man Rules:

Type of Game: Hardcore Expansion Ladder Characters

Average Game Time: 2 Hours

The Number of Participants > 7 and the Gamesmaster/Judge

An Ironman game event should be created by a Gamesmaster/Judge; (hereafter know as GM)/Judge), or a Judge specified player under a game name of WFCxIronMan. All players may select from all of the different Diablo Expansion Character types. All Ironman Characters must be created as Hardcore Ladder Expansion characters for the game on Diablo2 and must be tagged with the two-letter designation. The GM/Judge chooses the two-letter tag to be used for this game. (Ex. TUxSage, WExTalon, THxAngel, SAxBoJangles, ect) and the player will then join the game.

An Ironman game event is broken down and composed of three parts; the Ironman leveling portion, The Rest & Inspection portion, and finally the Ironman dueling phase of the game. I will talk further about each below:

The first part of the game is the Ironman Leveling Phase.

Once all the player characters join the game, they will proceed to turn on the loot options on the party screen and party up with all other players in the Rogues Encampment. The Party of Ironman participants will leave the Rogue Encampment accompanied by the GM/judge. The GM/Judge shall not fight monsters or Players by hostiling them unless attacked or trying to extricate and over zealous player from a very perilous situation. The Ironman players at all times must stay with the GM/Judge at all times, as they proceed to level their characters from level one to nine. All Players (verified by the GM/Judge) must completely clear Blood Moor of any and all Monsters (this should include the Cave) prior to the Ironman free-for-all beginning. We will continue from Blood Moor, the Cave (in Blood Moor), The Cold Plains, The Stoney Fields, The Dark Passage, the Dark Woods, Tristram, The Black Marsh, The Countess Keep/ The Forgotten Tower, and maybe the Tamoe Highlands (By this time most players should be level 9.)

The second part is the Ironman Rest & InspectionPhase.
Once an Ironman character reaches Level 9, you must immediately return the Ironman character to the Rouge Encampment, and then un-party with the rest of the Players characters participating in the Ironman event and wait. This is to allow time for the rest of the characters to reach level 9 and to allow any and all shrine bonuses to wear off (buffing). While waiting the Player Characters may purchase items from Akara, Charsi, or Gheed at their discretion. They should empty their belts of all Health, and Rejuvenation potions that they may have found during the leveling portion of the game. (As during the dueling portion of the event you may not use any Health Potion, Rejuvenation Potion, or any shrines that increases your characters stamina, health, mana, or skills). Once all of the Ironman player characters have reached level 9, and all benefits from any shrines used have worn off (buffing) the GM/Judge at his/her discretion may ask to inspect all of the level 9 character(s). This is accomplished by using the trade option to review the Level 9 character's gear, weapons, items and/or potions. The GM can go as far as asking the player to remove the belt and place all potions on the ground, so that all may see that there are no Health or Rejuvenation potions in their characters possession. The GM/Judge will then authorize the player to the Holding Pen (the stockade entrance or bridge to the Rogue Encampment). If at any time the Player leaves the Holding Pen to go back into the Rougue Encampment to buy, sell, or trade any gear out, they will be subject to a complete re-inspection of their character by the GM/Judge before getting authorization to re-enter the holding pen.

The third and final part of the Ironman is the Dueling Phase.
Once all Player characters have reached Level 9 and have finished the Rest & Inspection portion in the Encampment, the GM/Judge will declare the Ironman competition officially on. All character will the hostile each other with the exception of the GM/Judge and then proceed out of the holding pen by leaving the Rogue Encampment via the Gate door and attack each other until such time as there is only one character left standing the winner of the Ironman

Restrictons on Character Classes:
Paladin-Prayer, Smite
Druid-No recasting summons
Necromancer- No recasting bone armor

Rules:

> All Player must choose from one of the expansion characters and must be hard-core expansion character only.

> All Characters must wear the tag assigned by the GM/Judge for the game.

> All Character must turn on the Looting option turned on in the characters setup options.

> All Characters may purchase items from Charsi, Akara, or Gheed during the Leveling part of the game and the Rest & Inspection portions.

> All Characters must remain in the Immediate area just outside the Rouge Encampment in Act1/Blood Moor during the actual dueling portion of the Ironman and may not go back into the Rogue Encampment, Cave, Cold Plains, Or use either a Town Portal (spells, Portal shrine (already activated during the leveling) or any Way Point to fight in any other location in the game.

> All Character(s) will not hostile any other character during the Leveling Phase, and Rest & Inspection Phase, or with in the game prior to the GM/Judge telling all players to hostile each other during the Ironman Dueling phase, doing such will lead to immediate disqualification of the offending character(s) of the Ironman game.

> All Characters must be willing to display or empty out the content of their Items Menu and Belts, if the GM/Judge ask to see. Not complying can and will lead to the immediate disqualification by the GM/Judge.

> All Player will Never Hostile the GM/Judge, doing so will lead to your Ironman Characters death and disqualification from the game, (Not even in jest, The GM/Judges' Rogues got an itchy bow finger and she is not afraid of pumping your Ironman character with 300 point of poision damage for ten seconds.)

> All Characters participating in the Ironman may use Shrines during the Leveling portion of the game only. After the GM/Judge starts the Dueling portion of the Ironman the Characters may not use any of the Shrines. Doing so will call for the Immediate disqualification of the character by the GM/Judge.

> All Characters during the dueling phase of the Ironman will engage all of the other Characters until such time that there is only one. A Character must not engage in 100% Evasive game play by running around or throwing potions while in the dueling phase. The GM/Judge will disqualify a player(s) that will not engage in the Ironman dueling portion with the other dueling characters.

> Any and all Character(s) leaving the game whether intentionally or not (through server disconnection) will be immediately disqualified by GM/judge during the Ironman Rest/Inspection phase or Dueling Phase. (I put a provision on the Leveling phase, in that if the player signs back in with their character with no more than two minute delay they can continue with leveling their Character, However I also reserve the right to pull a complete inspection of said character that dropped immediately upon re-entry into the game. I do this to make sure that items are not brought into the game from outside.

> Any intentional or attempts at causing another players character death while leveling can and will lead to disqualification from the Ironman Event by the GM/Judge.

> Any Character(s) leaving Act1/Blood Moor during the Ironman portion of the game, thus leaving the remaining opponents maps are admitting defeat and will be immediately disqualified by the GM/Judge.

> Any Character that dies in either in the leveling portion, or the dueling portion of the Ironman an event will be immediately disqualified.

The Use of Poison (either in skill or in an Item) is allowed during the duel portion of the Ironman.
